Why Atlanta Networking Week
Atlanta keeps growing, but it still feels like a small city.
Professional circles overlap, familiar faces show up, and one conversation can lead to a life changing introduction. I moved to Atlanta in 2012 and have been networking ever since. Along the way, I've made valuable connections and lifelong friends. I want more people to have that same experience and see how one conversation can change their relationship with the city.
Atlanta's culture has always felt different to me. People are willing to make introductions, share opportunities, and work together. We have a few gatekeepers, sure, but thankfully nobody has given them the keys to the whole city. And with an airport that connects us to the world, Atlanta's relationships reach well beyond the metro area.
This week is aimed to bring people from the city and surrounding communities together through intentional networking. It's also an invitation to anyone who doesn't usually attend networking events. Come out, meet a few people, and see what one conversation can lead to.
Networking happens here year-round, and spring brings even more opportunities to get out and connect. I hope this week celebrates the people who make those connections possible and gives more professionals a reason to make networking part of their lives.
